Steven Patrick Morrissey, who goes by the mononym Morrissey, is an English singer and songwriter. He was the frontman and lyricist for the rock band The Smiths from 1982–1987, and has since had a successful solo career. Morrissey left The Smiths in 1987 to pursue a solo career, releasing his debut album Viva Hate in 1988. His 2004 album You Are The Quarry included
The Auditorium, as it was originally named, was built in 1936 and opened in April 1937. A $4 million renovation was completed in 1985 when the building was also renamed Centennial Hall to commemorate the University’s Centennial Year.
